Dr Bogdan Benga

Dr Bogdan Benga is an experienced Fertility Specialist and Gynaecologist based on the Sunshine Coast. 

Graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 1998, Dr Benga completed his Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) specialist training in 2007.  Dr Benga has worked at leading tertiary teaching hospitals in Sydney, Brisbane and Bristol (UK) before moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2008, where he commenced private practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Buderim Private Hospital. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Noosa Hospital and QEII Hospital.

When it comes to patient management, Dr Benga believes in “quality rather than quantity” to ensure the best care is delivered to his patients, strongly believing in the philosophy of respecting a patient’s wishes with a good sense of understanding always in the pursuit of a high level of care.

Dr Benga continues to educate himself at every opportunity. Particular interests are fertility investigation and management, laparoscopic surgery for gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, tubo-ovarian pathology and total laparoscopic hysterectomy, as well as the management of pre-malignant conditions of the cervix and lower genital tract.

He passes on his extensive knowledge and experience as a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland and is involved in the training of doctors at QEII Hospital.

Dr Benga audits his practice and patient outcomes regularly as part of a quality assurance strategy to ensure that the needs of his patients are met with exceptional standards.

Private outpatient clinics are on a fortnightly basis at Noosa Hospital. Dr Benga undertakes gynaecological surgery at Noosa Hospital.
