Noosa Hospital a hit with Private Patients
Jan 04, 2013
Noosa Private Hospital received more welcome news about the quality of the care it offers private patients.
Medibank Private’s annual survey of its members’ experiences in almost 150 private hospitals nationwide made good reading for the staff at Noosa. The survey found a resounding 98% of its members who responded would recommend Noosa Hospital to Family and Friends. This compares favourably with the industry benchmark of 90%.
In this, the fifth annual such survey the Health Fund its members were asked a range of questions about their stay in hospital. In each sub-category of questions Noosa Hospital also beat the survey’s benchmark. One respondent even commented “I worked in hospitals for 31 years – I can think of no improvements I could suggest for Noosa Hospital”.
Hospital CEO Oliver Steele commented, “We are very satisfied with the results of this survey which has been independently conducted for Medibank Private. Noosa Hospital strives to provide the very best care possible to our patients. Our excellent staff and doctors should be very proud of these findings and must be congratulated.” The survey findings support the Hospital’s own independent surveys which show rising satisfaction of patients being admitted for care.
In further good news for its private patients, the Hospitals’ G Pavilion has undergone a six figure makeover during the Christmas break. Brand new digital TVs together with new carpet and a refreshed colour scheme will provide private patients with an even more pleasant environment in which to be cared for. Mr Steele added, “The expectations of private patients are understandably rising. This refit of our private ward should further enhance how our patients feel about the time they spend at the Hospital.”
